Finally got my Z68 E4G3 from Amazon (about time Amazon!!). Happy with the purchase. If anyone needs a budget Z68 MB that is comparable to Biostar TZ68A+ checkout my listing.

How long did you wait? I must of been the first few to get there E4G3 from Amazon. I had mine shipped to me about a week after the first time the deal went up!

I honestly love this board, especially for what I paid for it. Definitely will look into ASRock boards in the future, I really don't think they can be beat price/performance/features.

Well when you do fixed voltage you can find whether its stable or not but if you're going to do offset might as well find the stable offset voltage. Reason is each CPU has different VID so with offset you're pretty much adding VID + offset voltage, like +0.030-0.060 etc... not all of them will have the same but they will be around similar range also thats where different LLC will come into play when you want to tweak it further for example at LLC 3 can have a +0.060 to get a stable voltage while if I set it to LLC 2 I may need only +0.045 each one with different vdroop. So if you're doing stability tests might as well do the whole thing so you dont have to do multiple tests. Fixed voltage tests if you wanna keep fixed voltage, and offset tests if you wanna keep offset. Also if you have too low of a voltage with an LLC 3-5 it could BSOD during idle when it uses 1.0>v. So its pretty much full load VID + offset voltage to keep it up. So lets say a 4.5GHz needs 1.32v it would be (1.275 +0.045).

At first Amazon said I will get it at Feb 25, then it pushed back to Mar 5. At Mar 2 I saw that Amazon hasn't shipped the board yet. Knowing that no way will it make it on time with standard shipping, I chatted with CSR online. Told them I was disappointed and threatened to cancel the order. CSR only upgraded to next day shipping (I heard some people also got $10 off).

Finally shipped at Mar 16. I must say I was on the verge of cancelling the order and buy Z68X-UD3H or Z68-GD55 G3 instead.

I still need to tweak a couple of things but so far this is where im standing, was having col boot problems F1, F2 errors, disabled Internal PLL Overvoltage and it went away. For 1.376v i was running +.010 offset, testing +.005 and so far is good. It seems i could probably go down to -.005, but we'll see.

Ok so i did a 45 multi w/ a +.005 offset and then ran P95. It got through like test 5 and then bsod with a 101.

At this offset my concerns are

1) My temps are too high, hitting 80-81c on two cores at full load, i would like to keep it in the 75c range.

2) this VID is worrying me because when i watch realtemp or core temp at full load the vid is 1.406 <--- not understanding this totally-is this total voltage going to the cpu? it was showing between 1.280-1.296 in cpuz @ full load w/ LLC level 3.

Then i restarted and set the multi to 42 w/ the same +.005 offset and full load VID of 1.3911. I about finished the first test, around 15 runs in and temps were still hitting 81c. CPU-z Load was around 1.272-1.288.

I dont mind a 42-45 multi a this point but i think i need to bring the voltage down doh.gif Kind of stuck right now,

Your temps seem rather high with the voltage you're running for 4.5Ghz. What are your ambient temps like? When I was using my Xigmatek Dark Knight I was getting a max temp of 74C and I have a full tower with only two case fans (1 intake, 1 exhaust).

http://cdn.overclock.net/2/23/23d7196a_stableclub.png 4.5Ghz, 1.384v, 68-72-74-72c after 15 hours.

Your Mugen 2 should outperform the Xigmatek Dark Knight, especially when you're running a HAF 932 which has incredible air flow.
