Asus may have more support here but when it comes down to it, all overclocking is basically done the same way weather it be a gigabyte, foxconn, asus, msi, asrock.

The people who swear having a bigger psu is the way to go may be missleading. I don't see the need of those 1200w psu's if your not going to use them to their full potential.
My sig rig is running just fine on a 750w power supply. Save yourself some money and get a good quality 750/850w psu, as that should be more than enough to power a well dressed rig.
^^This^^! Save money and get a good 750/850w PSU. If money is no issue than shoot for the stars and get yourself a 1000w PSU.

Ya, I think at least 1000w will be the thing for me. I'm really liking these.

Now that i've got my first build behind me. I've learned alot about air flow, heat, power that causes more heat. So for my next build, I'm building a 3 ft by 4 ft wall mounted picture frame pc. So not only am I shooting for a powerful pc, but one with bells, lights, and whistles. (as long as their quiet whistles)

(i5 2500k 4.8ghz @ 1.4v.) When I see clocking like that with such low voltage. I could kick my butt for not waiting 2 weeks on those sandy bridge motherboards. I mean the amd 1090t is a good cpu and all, even at stock. But I think my 14 yr old daughter will like it better than me. ( I love Black Friday )

I'm a big ASUS fan, and I would only buy ROG motherboards. I owned the M4E for a while now and it's stable, looks great etc. I owned an Asrock board previously and it was DOA. From that day forth, I vowed vengeance against them. Recently needs changed and I needed a mother board that would match my M4E in appreance and performance, but with a different PCI layout. The Asrock Fatal1ty Z68 was considered.

I'm truly impressed by it. This thing boots into Win7 faster, recovers better, has on board video outputs, better placement of PCIex1/4 slots, FastLan and the list goes on. I'm very shocked by the quality of the board at this price point. If only Asrock raised the warranty on this model to 3 years(the top model has it) then it would give it a perfect score. Not saying it's a better board than the M4E, but it's not far behind, rear view mirror close. Also, to BIOS update gave me an option to disable Fatal1ty's face in the BIOS screen. Win.

Photos coming later in the week.

Nice to hear and read stuff like this. ASRock has hired some good design engineers to assist it them in making good mobos.

I was shocked of how fast it boots up and how fast shuts down. It would be nice if ASRock went to a 3 years for a warranty plan for sure! I was a MSI guy for years until I picked up this ASRock mobo. I'm hella impressed with it.

So what do you guys think about the Asrock Z68 pro board? I'm not in a huge hurry for a board yet , as I'm getting my new case , PSU , monitor , Battery backup , rads , pumps ect first.....since that stuff doesn't really get outdated. I'm holding off on the MB , Cpu , ram and video cards until the very last , since they become outdated the day after I buy them.

And Harry.....this will be my very first full build by myself to. I actually haven't really played any games in years ( not kidding!). I have been so busy with work , got back into riding MX and fly Giant scale RC aerobatic airplanes.....the gaming and computer stuff always got shoved to the back. The last new games I played were HL2 and Doom3 , and I never got to finish them. I just started playing Hl2 again this past week....what a blast! So all those new big name games that have come out over the past 7 - 8 years....I haven't played them. So I'm starting over from scratch on this build. I think I'm having just as much fun trying to learn about all these new parts and how I'm going to put this computer together , than I would actually playing the games.

If I were picking a board again I would go with the Extreme7 Gen3 with the Extreme4 Gen3 very close behind it. Owning both I can honestly say both rock. If you don't need 3 way SLI and dual lan you might as well save some money and get the Extreme4 Gen3.
