I don't know if it rips DVDs, as mostly I'm doing transcoding *cough*. I'm using a HD 5850 so Virtu is at work. You just need to add the exe file to the list through Virtu (which I can't do so now in version 2.03 of the BIOS...). If I don't add it properly I get a transcoding error, so yeah, Virtu is being used.

The trial Arcsoft MediaEncoder was workable for me as well though.

Thanks. I downloaded and made my way through all the links to other programs (what a pain) and discovered a pretty decent program underneath all that crap. And it does rip DVDs. I ran it on my Lynfield system and ripped a video but was disappointed though by the audio and video not being in full sync. But I need to try it on my i5 system and see if it works with Virtu.

Me too, but I've had it on a shelf for a month waiting for Ivy Bridge availability... smile.gif

Q: Which Bios update is for Ivy Bridge compatibility? There are several "Update CPU Code" in the list of Bios updates on the Asrock website, but no mention what the CPU code represents. Reason is I just bought a 3770K and am wondering if I should keep this board or sell it while it's new/un-opened to get a z77 board instead... headscratch.gif

Also, anyone using a Z68 Extreme series board with a 3570K or 3770K? If so, how's it going?

Was having issue with my crossfire, after system resume from sleep, I would get BSOD within an hour (bios 1.3). Landed up removing second card for 3 months just for a stable system. Updated to beta L1.34 and it didn't fix issue. Decided to swap my AMD 6970 crossfire to an Nvidia 580 and 460 (for physx), then system wouldn't POST. system would POST fine with either one nvidia card but not both. This was about 3 weeks ago, with IB coming out i checked and here was a new beta bios L2.04. Put in second GFX and voila POST no problem, went straight into BIOS to reset OC. Unfortunately the bios wouldn't recognize my ram's XMP and even manually wouldn't POST. After some trial and error with timing and voltages i found a stable ram setting, with no CPU OC.
Unfortunately, when i then proceeded to windows I got a windows boot error ( something like 0xc00000e), figured the MBR got screwed up with all the failed posts. Tried to repair MBR but not go. I wipe the drives and tried to reinstall but windows refused, and gave an error, " make sure this drive is bootable in bios" something along those lines.
After some time , i risked downgrading BIOS all the way to 1.0, however even there i had an issue installing windows. I reloaded L2.04 and still same problem. I found that if i disabled or ran intel sata at anything but with a RAID array setup (i.e RAID mode with no array), I was fine. installed windows and tried to setup my array again, but after reboot, same problem. I also get a message after post stating "insert boot media .... press enter" if i just press enter it goes.
I have a feeling that the ME firmware flash the first time i updated to IB L2.04 was a bad flash, but system still runs (just without my Intel RAID). I've only seen my system update ME once even though i've flashed {L2.04 over L2.04, 1.3, 1.1, L2.04} Not sure if this is a general beta issue or my system specific, is there a way to re-flash the ME firmware?
Any other suggestions?
I use Revodrive3 for OS & 4x WD6400AKS RAID 10 vertex 2 50Gb SRT accelerated for programs/storage (the former is currently disabled)
i5-2500k, ASRock Extreme7 Gen3, 4 x 4 GB G.Skill, Dell U3011 (GTX580), Viewsonic 191BW (Intel HD3000)
PCIE-1/PCIE-4= MSI 580 Lightening Xtreme {SLI}
PCIE-3= Auzentech X-Fi Forte
PCIE-5= OCZ RevoDrive 3 x2 [240GB]{OS}
PCIE-6= Evga 460 (Phys-X)
WD6400AAKS RAID 10 {programs/storage}
w/ SRT vertex2 50GB accelerated

UPADTE: in case anyone has the same problem, i updated to BIOS 2.10 and that didn't fix anything. Landed up playing with some setting in BIOS. I disabled INTEL RAPID START Technology, and left INTEL SMART CONNECT Technology enabled.

I also changed my boot up priority and moved my OCZ RevoDrive to #3. (IMO this is really what made the difference, but i'm not going to try and test otherwise)

All is working great, now on to getting my OC back

Is anyone else having an issue with resuming from sleep? my keyboard and/or Mouse will not wake up my PC, have to push the power button.

This is not new i was having the same problem with old bios(s) as well.

My keyboard and mouse are running off a powered USB hub, attached to rear Intel USB 2.0 Ports

Have you tried disabling C3 and C6 in the BIOS?

I just took at look at the drivers and everything associated with intel 6 series chipset famliy USB enhanced ............. , in properties, under power management the "allow this device to wake the computer" is greyed out

Leave C1E as well as speedstep enabled For power saving. Disable C3 and C6 when running a high OC like you are doing using offset voltage. Leave C3 and C6 enabled when overclocking using a fixed voltage.
