Agreed ... I might be a little distracted too if he has it all working on that 50" Plasma tongue.gif I might PM him, as feedback/problem solved(?)are what makes these threads worthwhile.

Nope! Unless as you mentioned video encoding or "Virtu" ... I went through this drill directly w/ASRock CS as I wanted to make sure my IGPU wasn't generating additional CPU heat for overclocking. They went on to confirm that unless a monitor is directly connected to the boards VGA/DVI ports that the IGPU automatically disables itself weather you have it disabled in the bios or not while at the same time certain software like CPU-Z is still detecting it.

Try going into your BIOS and enabling any USB Legacy settings. Should do the trick for you and your 680s.

Not the 680's, but i had a friend that decided to unplug the "Required per ASRock" additional molex power for SLI with 2x570's and although it would boot he had constant CTD's under load, until he plugged it back in ... Dooh rolleyes.gif I'm very optimistic this will solve your problem ...
Additionally off the top of my head, could you boot to Windows with both cards but no SLI bridge? Edit: nevermind, I misread original post.
Did you do a CMOS reset? (while blackscreened?) If overclocked (cpu/ram) did you put it all back to stock?

Thanks for answering man, i have ont tried to clear CMOS while black screened, do you think this would work?

I am yet to test with the additional MOLEX cable since i left the extra cables of my computer back in my mothers house and havent gone for them yet..

I will keep you posted...
CPU is not overclocked, i want to first solve the video problems.

Thanks!

Bro, thanks for the advice but, why would you think that would work for my cards? have you experienced a similar black screen with white dash blinking problem in the past? Did enabling the USB legacy settings did the trick for you?

Please let me know!

Guys i am really sad to tell you that i did not worked. None of the two different thing i tried (connecting the aditional MOLEX cable to the motherboard and enabling all the USB Legacy support on the BIOS) worked .

Is there anything else im missing?
I feel like im running in circles and it is kind of frustrating to have so much horsepower and not being able to use it.

What im doing wrong!
Suggestions please!

Another weird thing i noticed is as i was writting the last message to you guys i left the computer with the black screen and the white dash blinking running and after a couple of minutes another message appeared in the computer that says: "Reboot and select proped boot Device. Or insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key" but when i try to press any key nothing happens. Which is super weird since it seems like it would be a windows problem but when i connect only one video card no such message appears and it goes into windows!

So what i did is, i disconnected all the HDDs i have and left only the SSD with the OS on it and tried to see if one of my HDD where causing this trouble but i got the same result, black screen with white dash blinking

This is getting weirdier...

If it's supposed to be connected to the on board DVI port I would think that would defeat the purpose of running the two in conjunction if the monitor isn't connected to the dedicated card. Which would mean that at least the GPU would need to pass through the CPU in order for them to work together. You're right, sounds like a combo for encoding. Thanks for the input!

Thanks anyway bro, you know, in my desperation i was checking all of the BIOS options and found ou something that may have been causing the problem .

I found out that the SATA 2 and 3 interfaces where setted as IDE and not AHCI (and i remembered that many months ago i was having reliability problems with my SSD so i changed to AHCI on my former MOBO and it worked great) so i changed it to AHCI. Then i proceeded to reset the computer and i was super excited when i saw the Windows logo! It allowed me to go past the BIOS Screen! but then BAM! BSOD. So i was browsing the web to see the differences between AHCI and IDE and found out this small bit of possibly useful info:

"Summary:
1.IDE is an old interface standard used for storage devices while AHCI is an application programming interface for the newer SATA interface.
2.Most SATA controllers allow you to choose between AHCI and IDE among other operation modes.
3.AHCI has advanced features like NCQ and hot plugging that is not available with IDE.
4.Switching from IDE to AHCI or vice versa after the operating system is installed can lead to problems"

So maybe by changing the option from IDE to AHCI i messed up with something so i decided to format my SSD again (lucky me i had not yet installed anything else on it) and make a clean windows install with the MOBO setted up to AHCI...

I will report back to you in about 1 hour to see how it went

Thanks anyone for trying helping me!

I greatly appreciatte and if you where in my city i would gladly invite you some cold beers (man im in so much need of one now!)
