ASRock Z68 Discussion/Owners Club - Page 291

I'm starting to regret getting a motherboard from asrock, although it has been working fine for 2 years, I hate the fact that they completely ignore their older products and stop providing support or new drivers for them, if you look at z68 boards from all other brands (gigabyte, asus etc) you will find that they are still releasing new drivers and bios updates for the latest windows 8.1 and software, now go and check the drivers and bios for the z68 boards from asrock, the latest drivers are beta and were released around the time windows 8 came out and the latest bios is just a beta to support some of windows 8 features ..

Has he tried reinstalling windows? Could be some kind of spyware/add-ware running in the background conflicting with his programs.

I have a Z68 ext3 gen3 with 2 x 2gb G.Skill RipJaws X. Will I have issues if I add 2 more sticks to fill up all 4 dimm slots?

You shouldn't as long as they are all the same. If you did some overclocking, you may have to change your current setting. Why not just get 2 x 4 GB?

ASrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3!

Anyone know how much power is provided by the various 3pin headers on this Motherboard?

Can I get one of these....
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/13374/cab-462/3-pin_Y_Cable_Splitter_-_Black.html?tl=g47c251s635

...and safely run a pair of these Aerocool Shark fans off a single Header?

Anyone know the answer to my question?

I can't find the info in the manual.... specifically I am trying to find out how much power is being pushed through the three CHA_FAN headers.

I have the Z68 Fatal1ty Pro Gen 3 and my manual doesn't say how much power the onboard fan headers supply. How many fans do you need? I have one installed for intake in the front of my case when the HDDs are, two on the heat sink, and one on the rear of the case plowing out. Plus the power supply internal fan.
