Currently running prime blend on my rig to test final stability...

i dont really get the vdroop on this board?

I am using fixed voltage for now, and it is set to 1.320, and I have LLC set to level 2

Under load, most of the time, I am seeing it fluctuate between 1.304 and 1.312v, but at certain times, I see it dropping to 1.288 and 1.296?? What gives?

My previous (unstable) prime blend run was at 1.31v, LLC 2, and voltage would constantly fluctuate between 1.288 and 1.296, but why is it still doing it when I have it set to 1.32?

Should I switch it to LLC 1?

How did you configure your fans? I have a CM 690II with the 3 fans (back top and front all 3 pin) I just want to know where you connected them as in which headers. My board has 4 fan connectors one is PWM. I drew a diagram on where my fans are.

Id really appreciate the help.

Hey, sure Id be glad to help.

I have 2 140mm fans at the top (exhaust) and 1 140mm fan at the front (intake) and they are all connected directly to the power supply.

For cooling, since I have an h50 and using push/pull, I have 2 120mm fans at the rear in exhaust. I have these directly connected to the mobo in ports 41 and 7. The power for the h50 pump i have connected to either port 3 or 4, i dont remember

hey guys,

new forum member and owner here! I bought an Ibuypower pre built PC (old 775 mobo and quad) back in 2009 and am now building up the courage to rebuild it by reusing the power supply, case, DVD, Mechanical Hard Drives. Here is my part list I have on the way (did my research on set ups before hand). One concern I have is that my ram will not fit the board with a 212 cooler. I've heard that the 212 will take up the first two DIMM slots and duel channel will not be available. Can anyone ease my concerns? Appreciate the help!

Also, one other question. I ordered another copy of Windows 7 OEM for 99.99 just in case I need the new copy. Since I am using a new Mobo/CPU will I need a new CD activation key? Thanks!

1 x ($124.99) MB ASROCK|Z68 EXTREME3 GEN3 1155 R

1 x ($43.99) MEM 4Gx2|G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

1 x ($99.99) MS WIN 7 HOME SP1 64BIT 1PK - OEM - OEM

"Intel Core i5-2500k 3.3 GHz 6 MB Cache Socket LGA1155 Processor" (Changed this to 2500k thanks to Trumpet-205!)
Personal Computers; $204.99

"OCZ Technology Synapse Cache 64 GB SATA 6.0 Gb-s 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive - SYN-25SAT3-64G"
Personal Computers; $99.84

I purchased the SSD drive to cache the mechanical drives, I heard this was a cost effective way of utilizing the benefits of SSD without purchasing a much larger SSD drive. Any thoughts on this as well?

With OEM Windows, it is locked to that specific motherboard the moment you activate that copy for the first time.

Get 2500K.

2500 cannot overclock, 2500K can.
