CPU PLL 1.709
LLC level 2
Thermal throttling enabled
VTT auto = 1.059v
VCCSA auto = 0.925v
PCH auto = 1.059v
Internal PLL overvolt DISABLED
Turbo Boost Power Limit Manual
Short duration 250
Long duration 250
Long duration maintained 1
Additional Turbo voltage auto
Core current limit 250
Spread Spectrum disabled (was making my bclk 99.7)
C1E enabled
C3/C6 enabled
Speedstep Enabled
under load, i am getting vdroop between 1.304 - 1.312v, so that is why I set it to LLC 2

From what I have noticed, max VCore needs to be higher when using offset. Using similar settings as yours, I am able to run 4.8 @ 1.36 fixed with no problem. But when using offset of +.08 at level 4 LLC nets me 1.42 VCore. Anything lower it will not boot. Level 5 LLC will get me 1.38 VCore and it will not boot. Changing LLC does not change the minimum VCore so that is not an issue. But......... using offset it rarely hits max VCore and idles at 1.04 volts. Each level of LLC will gain or lose .04 volts depending on which way you go. I'd much rather max VCore be a little bit higher and let it hang around 1.0x when not under load than fixed @ 1.36.

I did come up with a real nice 4.6 setup that idles at .99V.

Question!

Has anyone had any problems with the X-Fast USB utility?

I just discovered it was causing weird and funky problems with my Logitech G500 Mouse.

It was preventing my Mouse from being able to drag/drop anything on the Windows Desktop; disabling the Minimize/Maximize/Close buttons on windows that were opened... and prventing the dragging and dropping of files/folders from a folder to the desktop...

After disabling the XFast USB utility, all the above problems suddenly vanished.... so I uninstalled it, and am curious if anyone else has experienced any such problems with it?

I was using fixed voltage and just switched to offset (i kept my LLC 2, and set it to - 0.040 offset) and now I idle between 0.976 - 1.016 and load at 1.312 - 1.320)

Basically I found what my fixed stable OC voltage was and then played with the offset voltage until under load I am right where I was with fixed voltage. I like offset alot more (once I understood how the heck it works lol) because it drops the voltage when its not needed

I am stable overnight prime at 4700 (1.32v) so I am debating whether to just keep it or see what voltage it will take for 4800 devil-smiley-019.gif

Been working on 4.8 for the last few days so I have come up with offset +0.075, LLC level 4 Vcore Avg 1.384v, High 1.396v. Temps 58-67-68-64, Have done 20 passes IBT and 1 hour P95 large FFTs (if I have issues it will fail here 30 to 40 min. in) Will do a 12hr run this weekend.

I had the same issue with my previous AMD build (gigabyte mobo) and it was some energy saving setting in the bios that I had to disable to kill the power.

I have power on from usb and power on from ps2 disabled, and disabled all the sleep functions I could find in the BIOS....

Anyone have any ideas?

My mechanical keyboard and mouse leds stay lit when I turn the rig off and its starting to annoy me lol

Finally got my 570 and took a pic of the rig. Z68 E4 G3/2600k/16GB/Kuhler 920/GTX 570/HAF 912

viper522, that's a really nice, clean cut rig you have their. Is the bread twist-tie to hold the cooling tube from hitting the push fan?
Have you started OC yet? What temps are your getting w/ the Kuhler 920? Keep us updated as to your progress?

Thanks. It's actually some copper wire from a cat6 cable. It holds the hoses apart so the warm one doesn't affect the cool one. I'm sure it doesn't make a difference, but in my head it did when I did it. I bought the CPU used and the prev owner was running it at 5.0GHz. So I immediately overclocked it to 4.3 and then eventually 4.4. I'm not too interested in pushing the limits, I'm happy how it is. Running 59C highest core (CoreTemp) in 25C ambient 100% load (Folding@Home). If I use the 100% fan profile in Antec CC it will drop to the low 50s, but it's too noisy.

Hey guys.I just got the Extreme 7 and was wondering shouldn't the reset, power, cmos and debug LED lights be on when the mobo is on?For some reason it turns off before SSD loads windows 7.Anyone have this issue?I just got the board from newegg yesterday. It was an open box item.System specs below:

i7 2600k
ASRock Extreme 7 Gen 3
8800GTS 320
8Gigs Corsair Vengeance LP
Corsair 120G Force 3
and a crappy old Dynex 520W PSU

There is a bios setting that controls this...im at work and not at my computer right now, but maybe someone else can remember the exact name?
