Neigh, its a mediocre 350w unit if I recall correctly (might've been 450w, not sure). Either way, it won't do his Crossfire that he wanted.

EDIT:
It's a 350w unit, it shows 420w MAXIMUM 12v load on the sticker. It was around 330-350w continuous tested, and it popped shortly after that.

-All parts MUST be purchased on Amazon.com and must be eligible for Prime shipping
-Must be Phenom II X6 CPU
-Motherboard/PSU must have Crossfire support
-1TB 7200 RPM minimum
-8GB RAM
-Decent card (this will be a gaming rig)

Here is what I put together, please rate:

Guys, please stay on topic. He specifically requested a Phenom II x6. It doesn't matter if the i5 or i7 is faster, that's not what he asked. I'm sure he's well aware of this already.

Keep in mind, not everybody ONLY games on their machines. He could very easily put all 6 cores to full use, we don't know.

Doh this came after I posted... Just trying to show that it's in the budget.

This 6850 would give you room in the budget for a better psu.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005D6P0N8/ref=mp_s_a_6?qid=1318323037&sr=1-6

This antec earthwatts 650 fits now
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004NBZAES/ref=mp_s_a_103?qid=1318323576&sr=1-103

Or ocz modxtreme pro 500w if modularity matters.

Cx600 would work for 5$ less also.

And crossfire will be a possibility.

Considering the many limitations, there aren't many other options.

Oh different board 890gx instead of 970 chipset for 5$ savings: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004YAPV3I/ref=mp_s_a_2?qid=1318324443&sr=1-2

No dvd drive saves you 21$ or this one saves 0.50 cents. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0029RUBNS/ref=mp_s_a_2?qid=1318325078&sr=1-2

Why not the Games won't use 6 cores and Photoshop mostly uses the GPU so the 955 would save him 40 bucks at least. Just sayin'
