Mmm, how so? Even if it uses one core, would an overclocked core not perform the same tasks faster?

Dunno, must be a limitation of the browser. I'm seeing the same bench scores with stock from overclocked. Will run more tests sometime later.

That's awesome. IOS 5 doesnt just only boost iphone 4s but also does a pretty good job with 4 and 3gs. I hope ice cream brings these boost's

I don't believe these benchmarks to be very reliable. I've benchmarked many of these phones and the placement of them seems all out of whack. The EVO 3D is significantly faster than a Nexus S and Nexus One in benchmarks even with the heavier GUI and higher resolution. Also the 3GS getting a more than DOUBLE speed boost from updating to iOS5?? Give me a break. lol.

Is Android ICS going to be multi-threaded? Like to see what that looks like. Very impressive numbers from the A5 though.

Makes perfect sense to me. New OS means Safari has most likely been fine tuned or possibly been completely rewritten. Remember the Sunspider and Rightware benches are browser benchmarks so the browser has as much to do with it as the CPU.

Ah good call. Thanks for correcting me. In that case these benchmarks are pointless anyways, most people with Android phones don't use the stock browser.
