560 Ti hawk RMA?

Thread Starter
I underclocked and undervolt mine to get it as cool as possible.
Ambient temps at 30-34c, Idle 38-40c, Load 75-80c
Great airflow case Antec DF-30
(2x120mm intake front)
(1x140mm exhaust top)
(1x120mm exhaust rear)
(1x120mm Silverstone FM121 exhaust side)
Fan set to auto (at load it strikes 80-90% speed)

From 950Mhz, 1.05v to 880Mhz, 0.95v
It still gets 75c in 3dMark11 performance.
I already reapplied MX-4.

Need your opinions... thanks.

Just because you can't get it cooler doesn't mean that it's an RMA. You'll need to replace the cooler for that.

Either that or it's gone as cool as it will do. You could try using thermal pads instead of paste.

Is that card new? Thats honestly high load temps. Thats what my Lightning does at 960Mhz voltages.

Some cards just run hotter than others. had 2 6970 Lightnings before. 1 ran at 83 degrees load temps Furmark, got it replaced at the store, and the new one ran at 69 degrees load.

3DMark11 is pushing your temps higher than most games will, 75c is rather decent to be honest. It's certainly not a reason to RMA a card.

Everything's normal. Bad luck w/ card, no. Bad luck w/ weather, yes. Check most review sites and you'll see they're at 20C ambient outside a case. That would mean a potentially 14C drop on your card...maybe more...putting it in line w/ the rest of the temps you see here.

Ambient temps and case airflow affect temps more than any other factors aside from voltage. It's too bad, cause rarely do people mention these and you're left wondering why your card sucks.

TLDR; it's fine, lol

hmmm.. i think after 5 years, i won't build a case with good airflow.
rather a water cooling system instead. thanks for all your reply.
