Some of you guys are over the top gamers , didn't really expect to hear 50+for any one
It's an art course, so homework load varies for each student. I'm building a portfolio to get into graphic design, so I spend about 10-15 hours on each piece. I get assigned 3-5 pieces a week from different classes. Some people in my course probably get away with 10 hours of homework per week, but they will not gain entry into the courses they are shooting for with that type of work. I was warned about the workload, but jesus, it's overwhelming. I could half ass some stuff and still get 90%+, but I would have a harder time getting into Graphic Design. It's more about the quality of your portfolio than your grades. I don't even think there are any grade requirements except a 90% in English or something, which I already have. I'm up against about 150-200 applicants for only 34 seats. So yeah. I've got to work my ass off this year to get in, and then work my ass off for another 4 years after this. It's a new course so I don't think it is run very well yet.
