Bethesda's recent games are console ports, and their games are always buggy. Waiting for mods is the best action in my eyes. My expectations are low for the game. I highly doubt this will be a day one buy for me.

Have you ever played Oblivion with mods and compared it to the original? I'm going to go ahead and assume you haven't. I've been a Bethesda supporter since Morrowind, I buy all of their products eventually, and for the most part I enjoy them. However, I have come to learn that the work the faithful community does on these games far exceeds the scope of the original developer's. Why would I buy the game and play it through when it has been dumbed down and hacked away from what I was hoping for, when I could wait a few months and have a product functioning more along the lines of what I would originally expect from an Elder Scrolls game. Enjoy streamlined stats and accessibility sir, I for one am going to enjoy the challenge the modders will more than likely deliver. And if they don't, then I will buy the game when it has its complete edition out.

As a side note, I could rant all damn day about how my original hype for this game was crippled since its announcement concerning Bethesda's seemingly *** decision for more casual gamers. Was Oblivion not casual enough?

I'm pretty excited about Skyrim, I just hope that it ends up having its own version of the Dark Brother Hood and the Thieves Guild. Those two guilds were my favorite part about Oblivion.

Graphics aren't really that much of a concern for me. They seemed to look really decent from what I saw, and thought a lot of the criticism for them was unfounded. And if it isn't great, I still believe people could knock out some insanely good graphics from mods. It did turn Oblivion around completely with the graphical mods. And the difficulty in Oblivion was a problem for me design wise. The hit a crab 500x thing for it to die was ridiculous. In OOO, they changed it around so that the enemies were smarter, and hit a little bit harder, but still died about as easily as you would expect.

Either way, I just see the benefit in waiting before a purchase to see how it turns out for the PC community. And if it is all issues a skilled modder can fix, then I definitely believe it has the ability to become an extremely spectacular game. Bethesda mod tools are always on point.

Baha! I should point out that when it comes to this series they aren't the biggest factor, but I plan on running train in BF3 graphics wise. But absolutely, I respect your opinion. If I may say so myself, you should check out some of the Oblivion mods and give them a whirl, they may help satiate your Skryim appetite until 11.11.11. Enjoy!

Those are my new favorites. If you want to update the graphics a little bit, just take a look around the TesNexus. Plenty of amazing options.

Cheers
