Yeah You know the ones.
so true,i can understsnd the mod being annoyed with the fighting in BD threads but it now seems more like pure AMD moderator bias.now no BD leaks or info can be posted due to NDA?wow, way to look out for us users ocn.

maybe i get banned but who cares at this point, very tired of the many
"let me point out........." posts and now this new NDA rule

And Intel was able to churn out Nehalem and Sandy Bridge in the same amount of time because its R&D budget absolutely dwarfs that of AMD's. This can be attributed, at least partly, to Intel's shady business practices back in the day. Even the $1 billion that Intel gave AMD as a settlement is chump change when you take into account the logistics of designing and fabricating a cutting-edge CPU. AMD was and is fighting with one hand tied behind its back, and they're not doing too shabby in the grand scheme of things.

At any rate, I'm still waiting on benchmarks from a reputable source like Anandtech before I form my opinion on BD. The fact that there's a stupidly high amount of overclocking headroom is definitely a plus in my book, though, if just for the mere fact that I'll be able to play around and tweak my system for longer.

How could you live with yourself, AMD?

On a serious note, about 17-19 hours to go until official reviews are supposedly posted.
they have a chip that performs as well as a 1k intel chip for around 250. marketing it right will be a win for them in the market that actually returns signifcant profit

I totally agree radaja.. who knows maybe I will get banned as well and like yourself I to don't exactly care if I do or not.

This whole issue with BD is just crap.. This is NOT the "OCN" I joined.

It's funny that people keep shrugging off the BIOS/AGESA or w/e is expected to help BD by simply saying all reviews will be very bad cause everyone has already done the reviews.

Correct. And those AMD chose to send samples to will have all the stuff they need to do a proper review. Those who bought a CPU or got it from another source up up the creek without a paddle and they will have bad benches, as indicated by the few we've seen, there have always been odd problems and irregularities with the leaks, something that makes sense if there is missing BIOS or w/e...

Anyway, all we have to do it wait. Let not go preaching leaks as fact or what AMD has been hinting at as fact, as no1 have proven anything. Discussing what we think is one thing, just don't tell others "Your wrong because the leak showed..." well that leak was crap and pushing it down someones throat is ignorant at best. Same can be equally said for those unwilling to ac cept that AMD can come out of this in a very bad position. Remember P4... different times and situations I know, but pbig problems are possible.

So, to debate such things is fine, to claim any of them as fact and try to influence others is dumb, and taking advantage of those users who rely on more knowledgeable users to help influence their buying choices. The amount of "BD sucks, the writing is on the wall, just go get a 2500K and be happy" is appalling, we can wait a few hours more can't we?

Trying to be neutral on OCN in BD threads is very hard these days
