So they are switching from one dual core 1GHz CPU to a different one? Granted, maybe it's a newer improved architecture and is SLIGHTLY faster, but to do that and call it the Atrix 2 sounds silly to me. What major things does this phone have that the original doesn't?

if i am incorrect, then correct me.
but isnt the problem with most samsung phones and the aftermarket rom world the way that samsung handles the bootloader?

i have been under the impression taht HTC almost caters specifically to the aftermarket world, while samsung is indifferent which is why more HTC phones have excellent support at places like XDA...
idk, like i said, correct me if i am wrong.

Not really... Samsung has been pretty good lately.
HTC hasn't though. I mean look at the HTC EVO 3D and their whole locked bootloaders issue.

but.....its mostly the carrier thats stopping the updates......most of the time the leaked stuff comes out practically ready and stable but the carrier stops it for "approval"

This.

Nothing wrong with OMAP processors.

They are probably fixing the unlock bootloader on the original atrix, which is the reason for this phone.

I suggest, that before you do anything, you should at least put your hands on the new Windows Phone 7 "Mango" smart phones. Just so you don't sell yourself short. These phones are that good, all you do is have to put them in people's hands.

See yourself.

Although, I would make my final decision after Ice Cream Sandwich is out (Nexus Prime?).

Ignore hellonwheelz, he seems to be trying a new angle to attack Android, even though he always talked about how great his iPhone is, now he figured out no one cared what he thought so now he can use the angle he has Android and hates it.

Get a life. Get deprogrammed.

What makes people act like this?

Uh huh...
Which? The HTC Radar and HTC Titan are both going to T-Mobile and AT&T is only getting the Samsung Focus S.

So which WP7 devices are you asking people to try? The outdated ones or the ONE that AT&T is getting? WP7 is a great platform, just not enough phones out to back it. I love WP7, but I want more of a selection. A keyboarded phone would be very nice, that's why I think I'll be keeping my eye out on the Captivate Glide.

I'm not sure where you are getting off attacking me personally.

Everything I've ever posted is on public record, show me where I have stated anything about my iPhone?

Telling someone that Samsung is shady with updates is not "attacking Android"! There are plenty of people who love android who feel the same way.

Again, that was the bad Samsung of yesterday. Since then it has come to terms with the modding community and even hired Cyanogen to help their Android division. Expect major changes for the better from Sammy.

Even the rom wizards @ xda can't make a stable gingerbread.

Also I find myself using the gingerbread keyboard quite a bit, or text to speech.

Have you been on xda lately? We have plenty of stable gingerbread leaks example: EG22/EH17 leaks are perfectly stable gingerbread leaks. Plus someon is porting MIUI 1.9.30 and he said the only thing not working properly is wifi which is an easy fix.
