Swapping a motherboard and chipset on current build

I'm interested in possibly swapping out my current setup which amd llano with Motherboard and RAM for a I5 2500k setup (motherboard, and RAM only).
This is the first time I will be doing so I don't what the process is for doing this. Can you help a fellow OC'er.?

firstly, since your going to be changing the motherboard, the chipset (and brand of chipset) and the cpu you might want to backup anything you want to keep on an external harddrive.

if your lucky you should be able to do a clean swap and still have a working system without needing to reinstall windows and programs. if you find that your unlucky and need to do a fresh install then thats why you backed up.

If you want something sort of affordable grab a Asus p8p67 le and some RipJawX 1600s
