I have this RAM for 4 years now, it cost 90€ per 1GB...

What did you mean by sticker? I took out ram it says 1G DDR2 800 DIMM 5-5-5 on each one from 4 of them
Which motherboard do you have?

Also, changing to red is normal: it's just the way the BIOS is programmed. I mean, it doesn't behave according to which memory you have installed, but instead it behaves according to how the BIOS manufacturer programmed the BIOS. So, it doesn't change based on the memory that is installed.

Ok, i will give me a few minutes, in meantime i run CPU-Z too, here is what i get there

It's like I said before: the BIOS is configured right now to use a FSB:DRAM ratio of 1:1 (the Memory tab in CPU-Z is showing this). That is why the memory clocks are what they are. That's why it's offering 833MHz instead of exactly 800MHz.

So, I would like to know what motherboard you have so that I can try to find the manual. The more we know about your system, the better our progress will be. wink.gif

Hi, thanks for reply, i will test some things now and see how it will behave

I have ASUS P5B-Deluxe motherboard with latest BIOS, well latest BIOS is beta actually they never released normal release...

EDIT::
I have mess in BIOS a bit, if i put all to auto then i get ram as pc2-6400 which is 800 mhz and it runs like that, if i put clock for cpu to 320 x 9 then i can select for ram ddr2-800mhz but it keeps resetting after post message before loading windows, i tried to change voltage for ram too and it's same problem, i don't know if it have to do something with my external hdd's as it also knows to get stuck at loading usb mass storage devices and i have 13 usb's used, i can't take all of that out...

So now i don't know what is better, to leave cpu on default speed of 2.4ghz and have ram at 800mhz or to have 3.0 ghz cpu speed and ram at 667?

You're welcome!

It looks like the first thing we need to do is to make sure Ai Tuning is set to Manual. This is located in Advanced > JumperFree Configuration.

The difference is only 600MHz, so I would say at this point that it's better to leave it at 2.4 GHz.

I also looked up which memory you have, and it looks like the kind of memory that should not be used when overclocking, so that's another reason. :/
