[Gizmodo]iPhone 4S Only Has 512MB RAM - Page 6

LOL Sorry iPhone if this is true... But really doubt it will make a difference... Their OS I have to admit is solid...

I thought this was the iPhone4S, type-S with VTEC...?

I'll stick with my Samsung Galaxy S 2 and overclock it... all I need now is some water cooling added to it, with mini CPU and GPU blocks and it will eat the ipad 2 alive!
Keep the water reservoir in my pocket.....

The iPhone 4S's GPU is about 2-3x as fast as the one in the SII. Good luck getting a 100% overclock

I actually prefer the way the iPhone does it, even if it isn't true multitasking in most cases. I'd rather have an app "paused" than have it running in teh background, eatin up mah battries.

Multitasking can be of help when you need to really do several things at once. For example, I can update 12 Market apps, while streaming music through Google Music, as I type in a document in Polaris office, while downloading a large file in Opera Mobile, as ES File Explorer unzips a 2GB ISO disk image to be transferred to an external hard drive.

Did you follow?

Compare the previous iPhone's with the 4 or the 4S side by side as well as other phones and then come back here and tell us it's a gimmick. The Retina Display looks fantastic.

Here are a couple to refresh your memory.

Which one did you say was faster again?
In RightWare and SunSpider, I got better marks than any of those things.

But yeah, my Mali can't match to the 543MP2.

You do know we can output to monitors via HDMI, DLNA, etc. right?

And don't get me started on controls. Most phones support controllers and even the Wii Remote.

It matters to me... I play a MMO while texting and update Google docs on my phone.
Once again...
