My brother came down here the end of August, when he landed at the Austin airport it was 109. He nearly died while he was here.

Especially this summer. Nearing 120F this year. I STILL have cracks in my backyard from the drought. I'm actually happy for the cold. I've been wearing shorts and a short sleeve shirt without a jacket going to school the past few days.

What can I say, you get used to dealing with the extremes you live with. Those of us who live near the tropics are often known chortle about those who are intolerant of the heat (of course that's after we fetch the water and call 911 if necessary, heat stroke can be serious.)

I still find it easier to warm up than to cool down, but like I said you get used to what you live with.

I'm just looking forward to days in the 70's and nights in the 60's (that's in degrees F) so my load temps come down.
