[EGN]The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim revealed "Crime and Punishment" - Page 3

Ok, first of all, how do you bribe people with a dagger in Morrowind? Do you just have your dagger brandished while talking to them?

Secondly, will Skyrim have the whole cheesy "merchants won't buy stolen goods" thing? How's any good thief supposed to make a living if he can't sell anything he steals??

I think he means he just kills them. In Oblivion I killed every guard that came after me.

so wait i can pickpocket some fool for some change but then I get to murder everyone that witnessed the theft to keep the bounty off my head, yay sounds like fun but too much trouble to go through just to pickpocket someone.

lol at that pic above.

It should be a pretty simple system, if someone saw you then they could report it, or give you options to deal with that person at least. Its crazy when all the items that are "owned" will get you caught, and even worse is when you talk to a guard and he brings up that you have committed a crime. I suppose everything you carry is open for them to see?? sometimes you may have "accidentally" stole something and then you are faced with running/fighting/paying. N'wah!

The point of pick pocket is to not get caught though.

If this is Oblivion we are referring to, just don the Gray Fox mask and then take if off after relieving some poor chap of his keys and worldly possessions.

Or just not pickpocket when someone else can see you...

Yeah, that's what I don't like about the current (Oblivion) system. There's no point in stealing goods if you can't use them.

i feel like that mask only worked half the time when it came to "making people forget about crimes you just committed"

I won't buy it if this whole lawsuit goes through with Notch and his "copyright issues" ordeal.

And if the witness is a quest NPC (who can't be killed), then you're pretty much screwed?

Unless they make Skyrim like Morrowind. In Morrowind, you can kill any NPC in the game.

There can only be one.
