Advice with setting up water cooling!

Thread Starter
Hi all.

I'm hoping to make some upgrades to my system, and I was hoping to get some advice on a set-up I was aiming to achieve. You can view my current system below my signature to see what I currently have.

I was hoping to add an additional HD 6990 to my system, as well as water cool both of the cards and my CPU and change my case to the Corsair 800D.

Can anyone tell me whether a XSPC RX360 + EK-CoolStream RAD XTC 140mm Single Radiator in push config with some Akasa Black Apache fans (120mm and 140mm respectively) will be enough to cool both my CPU and 2 x HD 6990.

Failing that, will I need to consider more/bigger radiators and if so, what case would be ideal to go with for my set-up?

Many thanks to everyone in advance!

A RX360 will do the job the 140 will top it off no problem. Rule of thumb 120.1 per block

Just to check, as the HD 6990 is a dual chip card, wouldn't I need 5 x 120.1 to do the job? Many thanks. Rob

Yea, considering the 6990 is a dual chip card I would use the 360 rad on both cards and if space allows, use a 240 rad on the CPU. That should keep everything nice and frosty.

Many thanks for your help guys. I think I'm going to go ahead with the case change (The cooler master cosmos is not a very good case) and then I will simply use the RX360 rad on a single loop for the CPU. I'm happy for both the cards to run on stock air coolers for the time being and then in the future, I think that some sort of external cooling solution might be needed...

Will put some pic's up when I get it sorted.
