Powercolor 6970 PCS woes

Thread Starter
As the title says, I'm having an issue (Or what I think is an issue) with my new 6970.

I just got done playing BC2, and I noticed the card hit 89c. That seems ridiculous, even more so that people are claiming this card runs cool.
And I just had a 116 BSOD before playing.

Would you RMA it?

that card seems a little iffy but before you RMA make sure that it is getting decent ventilation and the fan is working properly. the bsod is likely due to the card getting errors when it runs that hot.

It's most certainly getting enough ventilation, I have it in my 800D, it's a wind tunnel.

The BSOD was actually before playing any games, was in a 2d environment.
