i doubt that..... unless the 212+ is better than a v8?

Your setup is all out of wack. Phenom II x4 with a $190 board and $85 cooler? You can buy a 2500K and 1155 board for less than that and it will run circles around ON STOCK SETTINGS WITH THE STOCK COOLER. Especially if you live near a Microcenter. You can get a 2500K and a GA-Z68X-UD3 for $300 add a cooler and you have money left over. It makes absolutely no sense.

Either drop a lot of the money from the AMD build and put it towards better graphics, or make better use of the money you allocated to the CPU/mobo.

Before i upgraded to a cheap japanese D14 ripoff my Hyper 212 could do 5Ghz but temps would get into the high 70's in IBT.

Curious, do you refer Scythe Mine 2? Slap an extra fans on it and you've got yourself D14 class performance for a slightly less price depending on retailer. A test on another site proves it. My friend runs one, and I would recommend it over the D14 (or alongside it), even though I have a D14 myself.

How many heatpipes xd? I went with this one from MC because it had 6 heatpipes and was 39.99 open box. It comes with a rubber fan so i ditched it, attached an antec fan that i had lying around and it perform's beautifully.

http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0362418

Maybe i should call it a "True" ripoff over a D14 ripoff
