Samsung Galaxy S3 - Page 4

"COPIPYING?" Spell check fail on presentation

If the rumors aren't true about the next Galaxy S not being a quad core, then I see no reason to upgrade from a Nexus Prime... once I get my hands on one that is.

You are aware that this is going to be one of the thinnest smartphones you can buy, right? And the slight curve to the glass will actually hug your thigh?

I wear slim jeans and I really doubt you'll feel it. I carry daily an old mp3 player in right pocket with a pen, pencil and earphones then in left pocket keys, an id with lanyard and I don't feel any of them except my keys if I lie on that side or something hits them into me.

Those specs are not really good. For a smartphone, you gotta balance size, power, and battery life. 1.2 ghz and 1 gig of ram is enough. Adding more would just drain more power with absolutely no increase in real world speed.

Word on the street is the galaxy s2 lte version is releasing in US in 2nd week of November.

...which is why the T-Mobile GSII came out with a 1.5 GHz processor and one of the beefiest/thinner batteries on the market?

You kids and you're nexus primes and what nots. I'll just be using my Samsung galaxy Note when it releases unlocked in the US

Seriously, don't care about ICS and those always on software buttons. Too HC like, not a big deal but they take up my precious screen space.
If the prime is a bust, the note is my backup. But it would have to really be a bust.

A few things with this.

1) The bionic is last generations phone. We are about to make a big leap. Just like the old sensation/atrix phones are about par with the new bionic, the next round of phones will be on par or so with the Prime, if rumors are to be believed. That's how it was for the Nexus 1.

2) If I was to buy a phone TODAY, I'd still probably buy the nexus s. Why? Because I'm getting tired of the treatment software-wise non-nexus phones get. Software>hardware. You may feel differently.

I'm with you in that waiting isn't always a good thing. But, sometimes it is.

OH MAN. Tell me about it. Software shafting man. Acer has dropped the ball on support for my tablet, and IT NEEDS TO BE at 1.5ghz just to not lag at every tap I make. Software optimization and constant updates ftw. Its why I'm hesitant to leave my iphone (haters gonna hate). I don't WANT to rely on some 3rd party to create a rom so i could flash my stuff, I wnt the dang oem to do it right from the first place and if somethings wrong, FIX IT, and with continuous updates.

but more likely than not, knowing Samsungs track record (SGS I'm looking at you) they'll drop the ball after only a few months. I'd be suprised if the note even gets ICS. Thankfully we should get glonass support and proper gps support (US SGS PHONES I'M LOOKING AT YOU) from the start dang it.
