Slow your roll, killer.
You can pick up an SSD cheaper on newegg or superbiiz. However, I highly suggest using the 7200 RPM drive at first. It's really no different. Take it from a guy running an OCZ Vertex 3 as his boot drive on desktop. I barely see a difference.
Same thing for RAM. You don't need 16 gigs of RAM. I can barely justify 8 gigs.
95% color gamut is a superior screen, no doubt. That said, I do NOT have it on my Sager NP 8130, and I still really like the stock screen.
Dead pixel warranty not worth it. Remember, you have a 30 day money back policy. If it ships with a dead pixel, ship it back.
Finally, shop around. Malibal, lpc-digital, xoticPC and power notebooks will all compete for your dollars. Your should call them and see if they can match someone else's deal. At the least you'll get free shipping.
A final point - if you're going to make all those customizations, you're going to pay for it. Keep that in mind before you get all crazy about how pricey it is. If you can't swing that price, cut what you really don't need.Edited by Axon14 - 10/11/11 at 2:16pm
