I need help on my intel system

Okay, well my rig is listed as normal. It was working fine yesterday and this morning.

Well, today I got my 2nd 580 in the mail, so I put it in, install it like normal. Press the power button, 1/8th second the fans start then stop. Hit power again, nothing.

Reseting CMOS leads me back to the 1/8th second problem again.

I took out both cards, turned it on, on for 5 seconds, off for 5, on for 5, and on and on it goes as such.

I put back 1 card, same problem as the first listed.

Could something happened to my PSU? I have no other to test it with. I'm really worried, I built this system in february, and I'm afraid it's already gone...

I've checked every single cable, every connection. Everything is where it should be an is plugged in. I don't think anythings fried, it does turn on for a bit after all. I called EVGA, they're stumped, so it's most likely not the cards. Perhaps the PSU somehow can't supply the power for some reason. I hope it's that simple. Expensive PSU though, after just having bought this 2nd 580.

I had a list of questions for you to trouble shoot, then found that tom's hardware practically wrote every single one in a guide already.
"PERFORM THESE STEPS before posting about boot/no video problems!"

the layout of the PSU header will be the same, just count were the black and green connectors are on the video and replicate that on your PSU header.

Also, if you still feel like you need to test your power supply and you HAVE a multimeter, there are pin-outs actually in your motherboard users manual. or you can use this one.

The colors in that picture are (crap) close enough for you to figure out which one is green. just count down the pins when the connector is in the correct orientation to know which ones to bridge.
