Picking it up after dinner, got it on pre-order.

Yeah man I used to play AC3 and 4 all the time. When I heard about this one I drooled all over my keyboard and then I saw it was only for consoles... Looks like the reviews aren't all that great.

I picked it up. Only played the first mission. Took some getting used to from the older games. But I love it.

Awesome! Did you play the previous games?

I watched gamespots video review - it sounds like the guy was crying that the game was too "shallow" but after watching all the in game footage it looks just like the older AC games I played. Same game mechanics with a new over the shoulder dog fight mode and the same feel as the older ones with more explosions and better eye candy. What's not to like? This will definitely go on my "games to play before I die" list. As you go through more of the missions keep me updated.

I played AC 4, and 5. Didn't get 6. I'm not too fond of the controls, but I Think that may be because the flight assist is on.

After a longer session I have to say, this game is absolutely horrible. Controls were better in AC4, you actually could flip the plane over. Dogfight mode on bosses is a joke. Not worth $60. I'd pay 10 for it.

I watched my friend play the demo the other day. I thought it was a crappy downloadable game.. Then I found out it was an AC game, and laughed. It looked horrible. And AC games are usually pretty good.

The controls are almost completely consistent with older AC games to me. Did you switch the controls to "original"? If you did then it should be very enjoyable.

Oh cool. Didn't think to look. I'll have to change it.
