Since you say your problems began when you switched to it, some basic testing by removing/disabling it (obviously being careful/disconnecting from internet if you're paranoid about that sort of thing while running AV free) and installing a different one might be a good idea...

Which PSU did you get?

Ok, guys, today I noticed something new. My PC freezes/blue screens only when playing video games.

I was able to surf the internet for hours without it crashing, but as soon as I went to play Team Fortress 2 it crashed in a matter of minutes. So, could it be my GPU?

Also, when I crash while playing video games, the error code I get is Win32k.sys SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION and 0x0000003b as the bug check code.

So did you replace the potentially dodgy PSU with the same make/model, or did you buy one that was a bit over the top for your system from a good manufacturer just to make sure?

When you've said what PSU you're now using, what driver version are you running for your GPU, also?

I got an XFX 550W Core Edition. I'm running 280.26 driver version.

Roll back your drivers to the previous non-beta version, which I think is 275.33. Make sure you do a clean uninstall / reinstall with the drivers then see.

Make sure your card isn't over-heating, make sure other drivers are up to date. Yes, your PSU can cause BSOD errors. The XFX seems a little better though.

Dude, how could I thank you enough? I rolled back my GPU driver to 275.33 and everything seems to run perfectly! Thank you so much!

I will post here, though, should the problem pop up again later.

So you updated your graphics driver at the same time as switching out your AV?

On that note, I never touch nVidia beta drivers... bad experiences. I'm still using 270.61 for that matter; they work, they're stable... *shrug*

Ok, now I know to avoid those beta drivers.

Yeah, 280.26 seems to be one of NVIDIA's worst drivers ever. I am still using 275.33 and I'll continue using it until they release one that causes the majority of members here on OCN to say good things instead of bad.
