He has tri-SLI, not duo. A good 750w might be able to handle 2 580s, but not 3. A 1000w minimum to be safe, I'd say.

Typically a driver issue would cause a BSoD, as would a DX11 issue. The only thing I've ever heard of causing a black screen + freeze, is the PSU being too weak to handle full load, or getting too hot etc.

i have the same problem,
just got new ssd's so i got a fresh install now with the latest drivers.

my games are still downloading atm so i cant test yet.

but after some googling for a day i found a few things you can try;

*up the voltage to 1,125

*remove the nvidia 3d vision drivers and the HD audio drivers.

*Latest beta drivers

i was late xD fixed lol, hope its the same for me now

and i read one thread from a guy that had the same problem and when he updated the firmware from his ssd's it was gone but i dont really get how that would fix it

I wouldn't be so hasty to say it's drivers.

Run furmark/3dmark/other GPU benchmarks and see what happens when they're at full load.

i read that too, tried it the first time didnt work. (this is the second time it has happened to me

*remove the nvidia 3d vision drivers and the HD audio drivers.
i never install these

its definitely a driver problem this is the second time this has happened to me.

1 time i installed the beta drivers (clean install) and this happened i thought it was crappy beta drivers. so i went back to wqhl.

2nd (current) time i just went from wqhl drivers to beta and game is working again.

Furmark would be an easy way to test the power supply out. Not advised if it is already the culprit. It will add an extra 80+W from each card.
