[Twitter] Battlefield 3 not shipping with Battlerecorder - Page 2

This is a good thing imo... hope they leave it out... anything that copies COD should stay the freak out of BF3

This is the system that records all the games server-side right?

Why wouldn't it ship with it? And I don't think it will be a big deal since it would be a server-side update.

You joking right? Battlefield 2 (2005) had that... how are they copying COD ;o COD are copying them! I mean what does it matter anyway... it's one of the most amazing features you could get.. at least in my book.

Halo also had it
IMO it's a very useful tool and I would hate to see it scrapped.

I don't think you guys understand the importance of battlerecorder to some people. I don't mind that it's not coming out at launch, providing we do get it in the end. I tend to record every single moment I'm involved in in BFBC2 with Fraps, which means I have a lot of videos I need to delete after every game.

Battlerecorder allows me to record after playing, so I don't have to limit my frame rate while in game. It also allows me to capture things I couldn't with just fraps. I do a lot of video editing and this type of stuff is very, very important.

Maybe when you guys get a youtube channel, and aren't recording while you get one of the greatest kills you've ever seen; you'll understand why battlerecorder is well needed.

What do you expect ? Alot of hype over something did you expect them to pull through lol

I'm actually disappointed since battle recorder would be great so I don't have to run fraps during gameplay oh well its not like I'm surprised anyway, I never really put my hype towards BF3 all of it went to uncharted 3

this is fun for movie makers

it usually lets you hide parts of the interface.. like chat and stuff making it easier to make a clean nice movie

Sad. Hoping there's at least semi-working console commands to manually record demos... I mean, it's been in almost every PC game in the last 12 years at least...

And there's little to none effect on framerate, which couldn't be said of FRAPS.
