I will be using one of these for competitive gaming (cs) and music (primarily classic rock and classical).
Now both gaming and music is very important to me, Either I'm gaming or listening to music.

Grados aren't good for gaming and the HD600 needs amping.

Budget?
Music tastes?
current sound setup?

Well I'm going with the asus xonar essence st as the soundcard and I was going to have either the xenos 3ha or gilmore lite as the amp but I can't find them online anywhere.

I primarily listen to led zeppelin, the doors, pink floyd, beethoven, and vivaldi.

Around 600$ (for amp and headphones).

Grados are not regarded as comfortable headphones and CS matches take at least 45 minutes. I would imagine the Grados would start pissing you off if you play several scrims in a row in one sitting.

I use Grado SR325i's for gaming and regard them as my favorite headphone. As for music, I love them even more.

The best thing you can do after you get them is to replace the headband with a Jmoney lambskin one.

Also, after a while the bowls will get to be kind of oily and uncomfortable. You can wash them in warm soapy water and they will be good as new. If they begin to fall apart, replace them.
