Scythe Ultra Kaze 3000's + NZXT Sentry Mesh

Thread Starter
Installed a 2nd Ultra Kaze 3000 today & no problems to report with the NZXT Sentry Mesh controller. (although i have not tested every channel)

There was an instance when i'd kept the rpm @ ~70% on one of them for a couple days then went to ramp it up and it ticked a little but that went away fairly quick and i haven't heard it since.

Besides that i guess i could say neither of them have any buzzing or ticking problems. Which seems good news because i'd read a couple (old?) reviews that had a complaint about that.

The Kaze pulling air in on the side of the case seems nearly 2x as loud (at full speed) (due to air movement) as the exhaust Kaze. I wasn't expecting that but all the better that i can control it!

If i had a complaint about the Mesh controller it'd be the LED light. Not the color, not the brightness.. but that it bleeds through an opening on the slider/control right next to it. No big deal.

Nice.. i have a few UK laying around and i was thinking in this fan controller to be more precise.. good to hear =)

1 thing to note about ultra kazes is that, sometimes they tick but thats very dependent on the source of "control" if i hook them to my mobo headers they tick.. if i invert the cbales they tick.. if a use a custom variable resistor they dont make any sound at all.. almost dead stop to a full RPM (wird, cant figure what it is exactly)

1 more thing; i read that you can lube them, the same way you can lube the slipstream too.. maybe that helps (never done it before)

oh !! ultra kazes are fairly quiet for what they are.. but anything in front of them and they are gona WHINE like an angry cat !!
