The leaks from the very beginning were right all along. I guess all the die hard fanboys are eating their own words now.

BD isn't just mediocre, it's plain garbage.

Then there is the question of value. At $245 the FX-8150 is pretty good, as is the FX-8120 at $205, and the FX-6100 at $165. The FX-8150 is 22% cheaper than the Core i7-2600K and this works to AMD’s favor as the FX-8150 was often less than 20% slower.

That would mean when LGA 2011 comes out that it will be the end of AMD competing with the enthusiast market and also LGA 2011 will most likely be twice as good as BD.
At this point, that seems to be the case. I had doubts about where BD would land. I felt like it was going to compete with the Sandy Bridge Processors but right now it seems like they aren't up to snuff. Intel will have a field day with this.

Exactly what every reasonable and sane person was expecting.

I can't agree with this. Enthusiast does not imply high cost.

Final performance per dollar of Bulldozer CPUs is not bad at all, and platform costs are extremely competitive.

Because the cores are narrower and share an FPU?

It was clear that some sacrifices would have to be made to fit 8 cores in the same transistor count as their previous six core chips, which already had inferior IPC to the last two generations of Intel processors.

Not all cores are created equal.

The FX 6XXX is on the same level as the 8XXX. The 8XXX should have a VERY clear advantage. Something is wrong.
