So you need 80w more power, a 1ghz OC to tie a 2600k? Sounds terrible.
As is, its stock v. stock its equal to a 2500k, but STILL worse core for core (its equal to a 920!? at stock!?!?).

Faildozer is fail. Too much power, worse perf than whats already out there, terrible core efficiency. I'll stick with my 2600k @ 4.75ghz, which will absolutely EAT a BD 8150.

FX4170 @ 4.2 gets spanked by 1156 i5 @ 2.66ghz. Lol.... 3.7ghz PH2 980 beats up on it bad with a 500mhz disadvantage.

sorry for 3 links but i posted this once or twice already in this thread maybe 5 will be the charm
thanks will check back in a while!

damn, and here I was thinking I was the only one who had thought of this..

there go my hopes of having it named:
"OmNINmO's Grand Method for making Bulldozer not fail.. as hard.. sort of"

ohh, and @ the people who say it's stupid to buy a 8 core to have it used as a 4C:

well multithreaded performance ain't that bad at all, it trades SOME blows with a 2600k in the right situations

this would be a "rough fix" for poor performance in GAMES, where you could clock it higher with less power and heat, and not be affected by the shared resources penalty..

thinking 5.2 Ghz+ on water maybe?

who knows...

With the octo's not looking so good compared to 2500K, I'm curious to see how the hex and quad cpus hold up in their respective brackets.

I noticed that too. Initially I was like "cool!" but story wasnt being shared by other reviewers.

Yea, but, what if we disable 1 integer core per module, so that it doesn't share resources?
