But yeah go ahead and get that CPU because it has 1fps better with a GPU bottleneck.
I am OK with this idea. 1 frame better for $100 less = WIN in my book.

Are you honestly suggesting that paying $100 more for less performance is a good deal? I guess if you can't grasp this aspect of how AMD is a price/performance winner then you probably never will.

Mmmm lets dont go and call BD a true 8 core. If it they put two BE Phenoms together it would double the performance of BD.

I think the biggest thing working in Intel's favor is incredibly good performance on a platform that doesn't cost the end-user an arm and a leg.

AMD uses more power to do less. Hence, Intel has a greater powererformance ratio.

I'm pretty sure the Czech site compared those. I remember seeing it on one of the site's I couldn't read.

You can bullcrap math however you want, but when you plug it into the wall and run it full load, you will use way more power and get way less done.

You can divide by transistors, cores, thread, modules, letters in the name, gigahurtz, years before release, TEARS OF AMD, or whatever else you want. IT USES WAY MORE POWER. And it gets less done.

That is all well and good and makes sense, but the i7 2600 outperforms even an overclocked FX 8-core at 8 threads while consuming 69% of the power. So, the individual core might consume a little more, but overall it accomplishes more with less power.

$100 less than what? AMD FX is far too expensive!

I don't understand why you don't understand the fx8150 is $80 more than a i5 2500k.

Somebody worried about gaming price/performance certainly isn't going to be looking at an i7 in the first place.

It does, just slower than the competition, including other AMD offerings.

FX is pretty even or slightly better than the 2600 in DX-11 gaming, and costs $100 less. It outperforms the 2500, and costs a little more. Seems about right to me. Why is this confusing to you?
