2600K has 8 Hyperthreads. Its still a 4 core processor and games don't utilize HT so the 2500K would have been fine.

Intel's 8 core processors have 16HT's.

i have a feeling people will get upper 5ghz clocks on these bulldozer chips, and may make it compete with the 5ghz 2600ks. maybe they wont. the tdp is awful.

just backing up my claim, look what i see when i refresh the home page. trouble with 4.8??

I wanna see a Phenom II x6 1090T in there. Just for giggles

Fine, I don't even really care about the 5.2GHz number. Somebody here on OCN will end up comparing the 8150 and 2600k at the same clocks (probably fairly soon) and I will be totally unsurprised when the results are still a significant loss for the BD....

Yeah, I don't really see why people are complaining about the clocks used. It's not like the results were even in the same ballpark.

The 2600k was over 75% faster in some of those benches... You could probably drop the i7 down to 4GHz and it would still be ahead.
