I disagree. What exactly did AMD promise you that you feel that they did not deliver on?
Official reviews for sites like that are almost always given the hardware by whatever company is making it.

No; they come with an air cooler. The Asetek units (which aren't available yet) are expected to cost ~$100.

25% up? I must miss something. Just be careful on any stock under $5, and it is a reason why they stay under $5. In AMD this case, it rebounds because of board market oversold condition. Its fundamental hasn’t changed at all. It may continue moving higher if board market moves higher but based on the price action, it may need to revisit low $4 level. I won’t touch it unless it stays above $6.2 for a period of time or unless you are a trader.

I want to know how it performs in REAL situations like Games, so those are the ones that I find relevant. If you don't like the benchmarks showing FX doing well in games, you are free to not put any credence in them, just as I am free to not care about benches that to ME have no meaning.

As far as how reviewers get their gear, I am quite aware that these sites get gifted much of this stuff that they review. That is why I personally put more value in benches from people that paid for their gear and are beholden to no one. If you want to believe that a website that depends on gifts and advertising dollars does not skew results to favor those that are buttering their bread, you are quite welcome to do so. I have life experience that tells me the opposite is true, so I will go with what I know. If you honeslty think that I am posting non-sense I highly recommend that you go directly to your user control panel and put me on your ignore list. Problem solved, and you don't have to go around demanding that anybody do as you have ordained.

Have a Nice Day!
The problem I have is you are making claims from something that does not support your claim. You have claimed that it "excells at gaming" and then proceed to show GPU bottlenecked charts. I agree that it can put out playable FPS in current games, but that is not a good measurement of its absolute performance when the CPUs are not being used close to 100%. You can claim that it will run all your games decently, that I have no problem with. But it does NOT excell at gaming. You cannot say that a Honda Civic is as fast as a Bugatti Veyron when they are only allowed to go the speed limit. Both can achieve that speed easily, but that is not indicative of its performance.

To reiterate: You CANNOT make a PERFORMANCE claim from a benchmark that does NOT allow PERFORMANCE

You are quite free to ignore all of the benchmarks that show the FX performing well, just as I am free to talk about them and question why some reviews show opposite results in the same tests.

Thank you for your concern , and Have a Nice Day!

Edit to add: I still do not see any promises from AMD that they failed to meet with the FX CPUs. You typed a bunch of random figures without any documentation, which is completely worthless.
Dude. I may not agree with the Intel trolls in this thread. But stop feeding them with BF3 which from what it appears is a GPU limited game. I mean when OCing gives worse results for all the CPUs that's kind of odd.

I'm just wondering why these Intel trolls are here though? I mean does it hurt you guys to know there's a few areas that BD actually leaves your 2500Ks behind? They're the same areas where a 980x beats your 2500ks without worry. Come on guys. Grow up. For transcoding I think at 4.6GHz a 2600k matches a 4.6GHz BD on those.

Again get what you're going to need and use and you'll be happy with the results. Well, except for the power consumption with BD.

Seriously this thread needs to end because people are just flaming and trolling now.

"Joe Public" will be served by this BD, as much as SB over the next 2~4 years. But, If you change CPUs more often than this & somehow delude the fact that BD is a bust, because next year something better is coming, then understand you are once again a special human being, with special & personal needs.

But you should also know about your specialness and taper your post accordingly.

If you are not special and do not care about the arbitrary, then run any 3 benchmark at once and get back with "Joe Public"... because that is how people abuse their systems. With 20 animated icons, different mouse pointers, Active desktop, minecraft, farmville BOTH running. Plus, the ambiguous Windows Tray full of cute things, etc.

Real life benchmarking?
Benchmark after any 13 girl has had the computer after 6 months.. no fresh install of the OS. Then see what architecture can handle the OS.

Or, you can get a 6-pack, some Vaseline, etc.. and run Cinebench all night and call all of your buddies, to partake on how special you are & how special your rig is.... after just formating the C drive 1h before .

That is about as fake as real world benching can be (for "Joe Public").
Epic post full of win.. soooo true !!

+1 for you sir
