The point of my original post is that Zambezi is a failure not Bulldozer. You cant say bulldozer is a failure because the architecture is primarily for servers and I expect the Interlagos parts to perform well. Porting BD over to the client side prematurely is no doubt a failure. However, I will reserve final judgement until i see more reviews of the FX-41XX and FX-6100 on different motherboards, with DDR3 1866, overclocked, and with multiple GPU's.

Me too...

Love my 1100 still and it will be nice to play with 8 cores and not have to fork over half a mortgage payment to do so. Intel still holds the performance crown for now but i just wish they weren't so damned greedy! I'd like to see what the real performance of the BD will be in the coming months with further optimizations and tweaks. Should be interesting to say the least.

I bought the same motherboard on monday, sent it back on weds lol

My 940 BE is getting old and I need an upgrade, I was hoping BD was that upgrade but its not.

Anything sharing in the same module will decrease performance, anybody with experience in hardware and software should know that. I knew that before BD was released but to see it as it is performance wise, I didnt know it was going to be that bad. Thats why I bought the motherboard and was planning on buying BD

IPC per core did increase as JF-AMD said, which I find it hilarious that some of you guys are trolling on his comments....I am not going to name names on that, you guys know who you are

Not any better than a Phenom II X4 or X6 as long as you GPU is the bottleneck, and they are both cheaper. Something you don't seem to understand. There is NO reason to get the 8 core purely for gaming. It is a waste of money for that purpose.

its a AMD cpu not Intel. expect alot of foot dragging going on to get the software optimized.

People need to understand that you can't design a motherboard that supports the BD processors without it being released properly or atleast giving the companies a completed processor before release cause the motherboards now may support 8 cores but they don't know how to fully utilize the cores so until manufacturers designs said boards that can utilize BD properly it's going to be wasted.

So until they release the new boards it isn't really worth getting BD. Unless of coarse your upgrading from a really outdated system.

Oh and if anyone here calls me a AMD fan or anything like that I'll have you know I have never owned a AMD based system in my life.
