Going 3D!A few questions...

Thread Starter

So I've been debating over this for about 2 years now on and off and I finally decided I'm going to go for it.

I initially was going to get the wireless kit and a Viewsonic VX2268WM 22" as that seems to be the cheapest route to see if I'm even going to like the technology or not and my local Micro Center stocks both.Well,I was going to go over and buy the monitor later today but they are out of stock and that is the only 3D monitor they stock so I decided to get it through Amazon as it's cheaper anyway and I can get free 2 day shipping with a Prime trial.

But as I was looking around at the other 3D capable monitors I stumbled upon this:

and I'm not exactly understanding how the Nvidia 3D TV Play works.Do I still need to buy the Nvidia Glasses? How does it work when the TV is only 60hz and will I still be getting the same experience if I went with this over a 120hz monitor meant specifically for 3D Vision?

I'm asking because I could use a new TV anyway and that Vizio seems quite cheap for what it has to offer. Thanks for any responses!

Good lord man, do some paragraphs every once in a while. Making the text hard on the eyes is one of the best way to avoid replies.

As for the TV, it's not compatible with Nvidia 3D Vision. On this page you have a list of 3D Vision compatible monitors, TVs and 3D projectors. As you can see, only Mitsubishi DLP panels are supported.

Best choice would be to order a 3D Monitor online.

I recently upgraded and went with this monitor (which comes with an integrated NVIDIA 3D Vision IR emitter and bundled with the NVIDIA 3D Vision glasses):

Acer HN274H 27" LED 120Hz 3D

I will say this - 3D Vision is amazing. I can't go back now. Well worth getting into.
