I don't agree on this with the 2600k being better for gaming than the 2500k, because in some games it performs worse than the 2500k.

AMD, you disappoint. More cores does not mean more performance, especially with today's 4-core max optimized software.

Come by the RIT campus and recruit yourself some microelectronic engineers...

Very dissapointing. If BD came out at the same time as SB it would be acceptable. However, it's way too late now and the performance is lower than it should've been. Seems like AMD's never going to get out of the dirt.

Ah well, Intel it is.

1.- lower performance in general than SB arc by intel..

2.- only slightly better performance than SB arc in a few selected apps.. and not by that much to see a huge difference

3.- a lot more power consumption

4.- Less power to drive multi GPU setups..

i dont really see what the advantage of bulldozer; unless you run 1 of those apps that are heavy multithreaded (and benefit BD) all day long, i dont see the point to get 1 fo the new "FX" cpu..

ya im bummed lol,,,,but come on intel guys...we beleaved in bulldozer for the same reason u guys prolly beleaved in intel core2 after pentium4...it just sucks for us that it didnt work out the same way,,,i learned my lesson NEVER BUY a new socket mobo without real benches lol,,,i saw a reveiw of 20 games in crossfire and nearly cried...my 965 would beat a 8150fx

Yeah...but you're not going to find anyone from the Intel camp that bought a motherboard months ahead of an unreleased product.

such a disapointment AMD put the "FX" brand on this chip, last time AMD had the "FX" branding on a chip it was stomping all over intell... Disapointing to say the least, Im getting BD simply because I already own a 990fx motherboard, and by the time I purchace a I5 2500k and a decient motherboard it would cost me more than its worth.
im actually seeing some benches where fx performs better at games when thay DONT use a asus v mobo...im still prolly gona buy one anyway bc at hi rez gaming its looking ok on asrock and msi boards asus mite have sum kinks to iron out...and bulldozer or not i still got a kick ass mobo for 100$ that does sli or xfire and i could jus keep my 965...THATS the reason i didnt mind buyin the mobo before the chip,,,and amd stated the next 3chips will support am3+,,,,not bein a fanboy but intel would NEVER do this...

.
Why do you say 315$ is too much for a CPU when a 2600k is the same price?

I Wish my board supported bulldozers. I wonder of the Highest End Intel and AMD processors, which could render 4 movies at one time, the quickest? After all I would not buy an 8 core processor "just" for gaming. You can't bash this processor for it getting lower performance than the others when the full 8 cores are not utilized, blame it on the program not hardware!
