Since this thread had an explanation on the basics of mice I had one question. What is the difference of infrared vs optical vs laser mice and how it applies to their daily use?

I'd advise you to look up this thread for questions like that, but unfortunately Skylit is taking his time re-editing it wink.gif Otherwise everything you needed to know was there.

You could try the new razer deathadder, it has an updated sensor and I heard that its quite nice, take your pick you can't go wrong with either, the newer batches of the g400 are quite nice the ones that does not have prediction.

7. Other relevant information:
I have rather large hands and like very large mice, currently using an Ace edge 3200 and would not like anything smaller than that.

I decided to go with the Qpad 5k LE (limited edition because it matches my build, and keyboard) I really wish there were more options for big ergonomic solid mice.

1 Grip style
Most comfortable is fingertip. (Claw grip also when i need even more acuracy and sometimes palm too)

2Sensivity
Old mouse is 1600, but thinking of better?

3Budget
Around 40$

4 Aditional buttons
Another 2 or 3 buttons might get usefull (except scroll and the left and right clicks)

5 Games i play
A lot of Beta games but games like CoD LoL Starcraft Diablo ( MMO, RPG, FPS) and i guess photoshop and autocad counts too biggrin.gif

6 Prediction
Not sure how it affects actual gameplay but i guess its preferable at lowest setting?

7 Other relevant info
DEFINITELY WIRED! always forgetting about batteries. Mostly it will be used over a straight wooden board (reddish cherry wood) when i need accuracy but on bed/clothes/skin too when browsing web or chatting (so if its just barely usable on these its fine)
Screen is 1680x1050 21"

The point is that the old mouse, an ERGO 525, got so beaten up that the clicks start to fail. (about 6 years of daily use)
Currently im using a spare LG MCX(XM-410)

P.S. im not a heavy gamer but quite the .... occasional....daily fps/rpg and a lot of photoshop is quite the basis
And the new smaller spare mouse feels more comfortable than the bigger one.

What i found good in my untrained opinion is:
A4Tech X-718BK (most probable buy)
Zalman ZM-M300 (really liked this one but heard the sensor is bad)
A4Tech XL-747H (only if its much better than the others and i dislike the image on it)
A4Tech XL-750MK Laser (only if A LOT better)
A4Tech XL-750BK (whats the difference)
A4Tech X-755BK (not very sure about this design)
(lol i just noticed there are mostly/only a4tech's, what do you guys think is best? Are they any good for fingertip/claw users?)
