Congrats on the purchase! Don't skimp on the battery. I bought 3 generics for my d90, all of which held one good charge, then died. Worked for the backpacking trip I bought them for lol. on my nikon battery, I probably get 2500-5000 shots on a full charge though, depending on shutter speed

great buy. the battery last longer than the one for the d70. the charger requires no cable. load battery and plug. fast charging, too. the camera is very light, thus perfect for carrying around for hours.
