I actually ran Fedora Security Lab for a while because I refused to use backtrack especially since it ships with KDE4 (not that big of a gnome fan)

{edit} Also I use an SD so that when I am just messing around if someone were to catch me hacking I can toss the SD card and only have windows with no hacking software for evidence. I spoof my mac address and roll from there. Personally it saved me at the Houston airport a year ago. I didn't know the IT guys were serious people...but they tracked me down to my terminal and after spotting them I closed my laptop and hid it and watched them question a kid with a macbook and his android tethered to it...luckily the kid didn't get into any trouble...I would have felt horrible.
well apparently it ships with fluxbox in every version ya get whether you get the gnome or kde versions... but i never cared enough to go and figure out how well it was done i mostly just CLI everything in backtrack, dont need a gui for that sort of stuff...

ALSO, hopefully you were only doin stuff like scanning cause in america, scanning last time i checked is 100% perfectly legal, however people will still throw you out of places for doing it and stuff like that lol
Kinda meh now...

Yeah I was just testing waters before I checked my email. I don't trust public places because of honeypots and MIM attaks. I am a white hat person so I wouldn't do anything illegal

Btw I did not know it came with fluxbox, I am a huge fan of it but I neglected to read the release notes for BT5 I mean I had a perfectly working pwnsauce install why bother right?

{edit} +1 for CLI all my servers are headless. Commands are much faster than guis.
