As long as the temperature stays in the safe range, there isn't really an "unsafe" voltage available to you without a modified bios.

Having said that, there are not many conditions under which the stock air cooler could keep the GPU at a "safe" temperature range under load at the stock 1.15v limit.biggrin.gif

I've got a modified bios flashed onto my water cooled card, so I have to be careful with the voltage slider in Afterburner, but it has been folding 24/7 for months now at 1.162v.

Thanks. Was bored so I decided to see how far I could go with 1.15v. Sadly only 1040mhz was stable. Max temp was 69C.

but you're only hitting 69c -__- lol my 560ti's hit 75c max load at 950mhz 1.037v

If you were only hitting 69ºC @1.15v with air cooling, you were not stressing the card that hard, lol. wink.gif

Every card will respond differently. Mine starts hitting some serious voltage vs clock speed vs temperature diminishing returns above 1025mhz or so.
I can get it stable in Furmark and regular folding at 1100 mhz @1.162v but more volts than that doesn't help me get any higher.

You hit a point where you need lower temperatures to stay stable than the stock air coolers can do.
Above 1050mhz, my GPU gets unstable folding large work units if the GPU temperature goes over about 60ºC

Over the holiday, I'm going to be putting together a water chiller system to cool my card with a -10ºC to 0ºC glycol/water solution so I can take a shot at hitting 1200mhz stable under 24/7 folding load. -advmethods work units stress the GPU harder than Furmark on extreme burn.
I'm going a little extreme with it because it is a dedicated folding card for the folding team competition, it normally doesn't even have a monitor connected to it. smile.gif

This is what I run 24/7. And remember I didn't stress the card at that voltage/speed. I don't wanna kill it lol. I just OC, boot then see if it benches. If it does I take a pic of score then move on higher tongue.gif.

I wasn't stress testing it tongue.gif just did a quick bench. When I have it at 24/7 clocks (950/1900/2200) it hits 64C under furmark. Like I said above. I just wanted to see what my card would do at max V which is 1040. As soon as a tried 1041 it kept crashing lol.
