I wouldn't say it's a bad card, I think it's just because it's priced around the same as the DirectCU II and Twin Frozr II and most people stick with the main brands and I'm assuming they use better components.. If I had seen a good deal on one I probably would of one picked one up myself though.

Thanks! Yeah I couldn't pass up on it :\ $184 plus the new batman game, either way I'm happy! All I wanted was a 560 ti and this will be a great upgrade from my 4870 smile.gif

I can't speak for the air coolers, but those of us who water cool with full coverage blocks avoid Galaxy like the plague because virtually everything they make is a non reference design.

All of a sudden im getting weird vram temperatures, 75 idle and shooting straight up to 95 in bf3. Looks like a faulty temp. sensor to me. The card is 100% stable. Anyone experienced something similar?

Here ya go! Although I'm using Afterburner 2.2.0 Beta 9 (the newest version), it no longer shows the actual voltage but rather positive or negative additions of voltage in mV.

With that said, I do know that the stock MSI 560 ti Hawk 1gb has a stock voltage of 1050 mV, correct? So, if you look at my afterburner screen, it shows "+50", which would mean: 1050+50=1100mV.

Looks like your fan settings are no longer manually set. Go into settings and make sure you have the 'enable software for automatic settings' box checked.

You can decide yourself by watching temps what type of fan settings whether it be mild, average or agressive. Here is my winter settings as the house is cooler and I don't need the fan settings as agressive.

40C - 50%
50C - 61%
60C - 72%
70C - 83%
80C - 94%
90C - 100%

Something along those lines or a tad less agressive. If your letting the GPU to decide they ALL do a lousy job at keeping temps under control.

Let us know if that was it.smile.gif

PS. to club members. I'm building my kids a rig. Should be done by the first of the year. I'm leaning very heavily to get them a MSI GTX 560Ti 2GB Twin Frozr II. It's a toss up between that or the EVGA GTX 560Ti 2GB version. Either way I will be joining the club soon. Most likely SLI it shortly after. biggrin.gif
