I'm confused by this. Everything I've seen on faildozer stated that there are two 128 bit FPU per module. That means each core has it's own FPU.

Then they can combine, similar in theory to a dual channel memory controller, to form one 256 bit FPU.

So why do people say it's really a quad core, etc...



EDIT: may have answered my own question. It appears the 2500/2600k has 4 256 bit FPU.
