ati with intel?

I'm wondering now, since Bulldozer seems to be a flop whether i should stick with amd and just go with the 1090T or to just cut my losses and just go for an intel chip. nvidia cards cost too much and so i was thinking of going with the twin frozr III 6950 2gb. that being said would an intel chip with an ati gpu work together well? any problems associated with it?

It should be fine. No matter what cpu you use weather it be intel or amd.

They work how they should, ATI has driver problems though. Recently nvidia has had some driver problems as well.

regarding the driver problems for ATI, are driver problems more prevalent for ATI? I've heard that ati cards aren't "notorious" but have a history of having problematic drivers.

AMD/ATI gpus are good for the price but usually people have more problems with the drivers than actual performance. But if you do a full format and dont have any old drivers you should be fine.

Of course an AMD card will work as well as an Nvidia one...

driver problems are not specific to one side both has had their fair share in the last year nvidia has had the worst of it. so yeah when a random guy made ati drivers they were buggy but now its been really smooth ive been using ati /amd for the last 4 years and i personally haven't had single issue.

To tell you the truth the only ATI card I've had was the 5770. It was a solid card! I'm having more problems with the GTX 560Ti then I ever did with the 5770. I'm going based on what I've heard.

Twin Frozr 6950-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127575

Which should I go for, because at this point i'm torn between the 1090T or 2600k and the Twin Frozr III or the ASUS 570...
