hey just curious if u guys might now how to fix this.

when ever i cold boot my pc with my over clock i get a post loop 3 times then it boots.

it either goes right into windows or i get a flashing cursor at the top left and it sits there till i hard restart it.

i think i get that blinking cursor becasue of it going to defualts after the post loop and my ssd needs achi mode to boot with this mobo.

is there any fix for this ? im wondering if my rams incompatable or somthing i down volted mt ram to 1.5 but it did this at 1.65 also. Now its not a huge deal as i dont cold boot much but its kinda scary lol i heard this is common with p67?

should i just deal with it for the 5ghz oc?

The three boots is what it's set at to attempt booting before setting bios to default. (I believe theres a setting to change it from default of 3.)

I also get the blinking cursor but usually only when I try a high overcock. I am still able to get into the bios but unable to get to windows. I assume it's something about being stable enough to POST but not stable enough to progress further than that.

PS, be happy with 5ghz, I'm able to get that but temps are a little much~ I've booted up to a 56 multi but the highest windows wants to load is 52 or so(haven't tried voltage over 1.4v).

hey lol

Couple things you can try.....

Make sure the BIOS is up to date - just a heads up, clear the CMOS before and after you falsh to a new BIOS.

Here is a sure way of clearing the CMOS:

Unplug power cord
Hold the power button for a few seconds to release any excess current from the rig (important)
Take out the Cmos battery for a few minutes (10 minutes is long enough)
Pop the battery back in, plug the power cable and start the PC and it should work.

Another thing I can think of is try Disabling PLL overvoltage, however the side affects are that it is required for higher multi's, but if it can boot into windwos without it, then you can disable it.

That's it for now lol maybe someone else can help, I'll be back later on

Hope that helps

ok update i know tripple posT!!!

but i had lowered pll voltage and vtt voltage a bit and ive put them back to auto and havent had it happen again but might just be luck.

Ran 30 mins of prime blend test and no errors or crashes max temp 62c

so still stable enough for me hopefully that fixes it.
