does the 4100 compete with 2500k at all?
Doesn't look like the 4100 would compete with the 955BE based on the results of the 8150. You would be better off with the 2500k. I will probably get a 1090t or 1100t.

You would need ~9001Mhz to compete with a 2500k...

The FX-4100s main competition is i3-2100, and I doubt it'll win in any way.
Even in Cinebench, which loves cores, FX-4100 gets 3.0 while i3-2100 gets 3 as well.
Sure, you can overclock. It still doesn't change that the i3-2100 crushes the FX-4100 in single- and dual-threaded workloads, possibly even programs using triple-threaded programs as well.

The I3 2100 pulled 11fps more then an 8150 in a Crysis benchmark.

Not 4100, but 4170.

It's incredible how they managed to decrease IPC by almost 30% over Phenom II.

At least AMD managed to make the first consumer chip clocked over 4GHz stock.

i read somewhere that the bios and motherboard people weren't using weren't optimized enough. Does this mean that bulldozer still has a chance?
