Minecraft and how to get started

hey guys, I recent quit rift and wow because of my friends quitting and the cost to some extent now that schools starting. I was wondering how to get into minecraft, and actually play, many thanks for the help

Yep loads of vids on youtube for minecraft. There is a "How to survive and thrive" series that is pretty good, although a bit outdated if you start from the beginning. It still has some useful stuff to.

You also need to buy the game at www.minecraft.net (truly first step)

the hardest part about getting on a server is finding one you're comfortable with. there's a couple popular ones here on OCN.
