Even though I am an Intel user, I will always pull for AMD. (Or any other competitor.) When they do well we all benefit. If BD is in fact a failure, we all lose.

How fast is fast enough? Fast enough to win...

So Kyle learning a lesson and not throwing the term "loser" around upsets you? His conclusion was just as harsh minus the loser line. Maybe this means further FX steppings will polish at least as well as the Phenom II did, which will still mean price drops, hehe.

From the [H] gaming mini-review: "Stay tuned as we look further into gaming performance on the AMD FX-8150." I'll hold judgement until they release a full gaming review, Hardocp likes to be thorough.

BD needed to be at LEAST as fast as the 2600k. I didnt expect some massive breakthrough with it beating the 2600k by some insane percentage, but I expected a close call battle.

What we have no is basically a useless CPU. The 2600k eats it in everything at stock clocks, AND uses less power. Any of the 6 core Intel CPUs completely demolish it in threaded stuff, and the 2nd gen i7s (even 2500k) beat it for gaming. Meanwhile the price makes the whole "cost effective" point invalid, with the 2500k being the same price as the 8120, but performing as good as the $60 more expensive 8150.

Intel now has basically no reason to push a new CPU out - there's no need. Intel can just take its time to improve Ivy even more, increasing the gap more so.

Basically, I didnt expect it to beat SB, but I expected it to be close. Being beaten by older AMD cpus is just sad.

Greatly disappointed with Bulldozer, AMD screwed up big time, even the i5 2500K beats it despite having less cores, threads and cache, something is really wrong there.

Poor AMD...

I don't think BD is as bad or as good (mostly bad) as the initial reactions would indicate, but I certainly thought it would beat my 1055T. I'll be watching for SBe I guess. I wish someone would give Intel better competition.

Im laughing my ass off after reading the Bulldozer reviews. All those peeps on here who were "waiting" for the greatest thing ever that was to be Bulldozer must be hiding under rocks now in shame, whata bunch of crock, AMD has failed yet again on the front lines of CPU warefare, thank God I didn't wait to build my i5 2500k rig.
